Exhibition INNERVISIONS, Paris.

Me complace anunciar mi próxima participación en la exposición INNERVISIONS, un ensayo fotográfico, que se llevará a cabo el 18-20 de mayo en PARÍS por primera vez.

En el marco de nuestra exposición Street Sans Frontières – encrucijada de calles y visiones de autores de todo el mundo – nos complace anunciar InnerVisions, un ensayo fotográfico comisariado por Rodica Tanase que se celebrará en la capital francesa por primera vez. París, la madre de la fotografía, acoge con gran entusiasmo a autores de diferentes orígenes, así como a perspectivas y sensibilidad. Cada fotógrafo tiene como objetivo dar al público una sugerencia, un sueño, una visión para explorar un lugar interior, dejando que se muestren escenas íntimas y secretas.

Estas imágenes trascienden la realidad y la convención, obligando a los ojos de la mente a volver a mirar, a reconsiderar lo común al exponerse a capas de implicación que yacen más allá de la superficie de sus composiciones. El surrealismo y las imágenes abstractas van desde exposiciones prolongadas hasta composiciones coloridas. Algunos muestran una posible colisión entre lo real y lo imaginario. Otros soportan una tensión que desafía al espectador a pensar más allá de la razón y el cálculo obvio. El espectador está invitado a descifrar la metáfora y profundizar en paisajes oníricos, a dibujar un significado o simplemente a reflexionar sobre un momento fantástico e irracional.

I am pleased to announce my next participation in the exhibition INNERVISIONS, a photo essay, which will be held on May 18-20 in PARIS for the first time.

In the framework of our exhibition Street Sans Frontières – crossroads of streets and visions of authors from all over the world – we are pleased to announce InnerVisions, a photo essay curated by Rodica Tanase​ that will be held ​​in the French ​capital​ for the first time. Paris, the mother of photography, welcomes with great enthusiasm authors of different origins, as well as perspectives and sensitivity. Each photographer aims to give to the public a suggestion, a dream, a vision to explore an inner place, letting intimate and secret scenes come on display.

These images transcend reality and convention, forcing the mind’s eye to look again, to reconsider the ordinary by giving exposure to layers of implication that lie beyond the surface of their compositions. Surrealism and abstract images range from long exposures to colourful compositions. Some showcase a possible collision between the real and the imaginary. Others sustain a tension that challenges the viewer to think beyond reason and obvious calculation. The viewer is invited to decipher metaphor and delve into dreamscapes, to draw meaning or simply to ponder a fantastic, irrational moment.​
